A Post Entitled A good massage
A good massage
I feel that a body massage is extremely underrated. Everyone needs some TLC and a good body massage is a great way to get it.
A massage boosts your well being as it can stimulate the release of endorphins, giving you a ‘feel good’ factor.
There are so many benefits to having a good massage, especially if it is done correctly and professionally.
It is important to have a detailed consultation with your massage therapist so he or she can discuss any medical issues and to determine which areas to focus on and any preferences of pressure you may have.
Firstly, the pressure must be right and a good massage therapist should ask you “Is the pressure is OK for you?” throughout the massage, or “would you like it more gentler or stronger?”.
The best massage therapist are quite intuitive and usually know exactly how much pressure you need and even know which areas to concentrate on. There is nothing more irritating than having a massage by someone who just isn’t even touching the area you want to be worked on the most or the pressure not being strong enough or in worst cases, hurting you.
The energy of the massage therapist is so important, a great massage therapist has a warm feeling which comes through their hands as they massage you.
Massage is a great way to help to release the toxins in your body, it stimulates the blood circulation to help the blood flow. It also helps increase lymphatic drainage thus removing waste and toxins.
Many people have nodes at the top of their shoulders, along the trapezius muscles and around the shoulder blade, these can be gently broken down by your massage therapist. There’s usually a buildup of lactic acid. It’s really important to drink plenty of water after your massage to flush away toxins.
